Does this ELA Naric letter confirms the required B1

Post by mjm9691 » Thu Jun 25, 2015 3:23 am

My tier 2g pbs dependent spouse received the following result from Naric:

Level of English: The level of English language for the above degree course does not meet the requirements of CEFR level C1
Additional information: Based on the information currently held by UK Naric in relation to the English language proficiency of graduates of your degree, we are not in the position to amend our current guidance in order to confirm that CEFR C1 command of English will have been met by the entire cohort. Nonetheless, it is worth noting that holders of your degree would meet lower CEFR level descriptors, up to and including CEFR B1.

Just to be sure, does this letter confirm that degree is at level B1 and sufficient to be used for English requirements. Seniors please confirm.

Your degree does not meet the Naric requirement for CEFR level C1 but your degree is categorise as CEFR B1 or something lower than that such as A1 and A2. What are you applying for?
