ILR - Tier2 General Route

Post by stanza123 » Fri Jun 26, 2015 7:35 pm

Hi

Since my Employer is not providing me the letters I am planning to go for with other sponsor.
My Query:

Context: If I apply for Tier2 General switch from the current employer to new Employer on 15th July

Question 1. My Actual ILR eligibility date is 01st August. Is there any way that I can use my Tier2 General Application as ILR Application?

Question 2. Is there any other workaround here

Question 3. What sort of documents that I need to have for my ILR during this employer switch?

Thanks in Advance

Its a requirement to show a letter from employer that you are required for the job further and if you have any business related absences then those need to be mentioned on a letter to by your company. Also your salary slips should be verified from your company too.

The oly option i can see in your case is that you switch to a new employer and mention to your new employer that you are eligible for ILR and will be applying for it as soon as u join them. So you make them agree to provide all letters to support ur ILR application.

Thanks ravi_ei!!!

My question is ..the same Tier2 General application shall we convert as ILR application ? Since my TYier2 General extension will be with HO by 15th July. My ILR eligibility is on 01st August.

1. Can I ask HO to convert my Tier2 General application as ILR application?

2. If so what is the process for the same like documents, fee ,etc?

I think you should get a new cos assigned from new employer after resigning from previous and get all documents from new employer and apply for ilr, because you must get the cos details aswell like soc code and of course salary. You will also need the employer absence letter from the one you will be resigning. Your cos has to be in place before applying for ilr

Thanks mjm and ravi_ei!!!

The New Tier2 General extn application will be from new Employer.

1. I am planning to apply by July 15th 2015. So my application will be with Homeoffice...right?

2. My ILR eligibility is on 01st August 2015.

3. Can I ask Home Office the same Tier2 General Application can be converted as ILR application?

4. If Home Office says Yes...what will be the fee,etc that applicable?

You cant switch your Tier 2 application to ILR. you must start working with new employer and then get one or two payslips from them to show in your ILR application to prove that they are paying you appropriately. You have to show your bank statements to support that. So even if you change the application to ILR because you wont have required documents it will be rejected.

After resigning from 1st employer you have something like 3 months to find a new sponsor so why don't you apply after 1st Aug so that you can apply for ilr with new employer cos
