AN Form help - Partners details

Post by mark_b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 9:33 pm

Applying tomorrow and need quick clarification. For partners details on the AN form section 1.35 it asks for partners details. My partner and I are not married and are making seperate applications. Do I still need to fill in this section regardless?

Thanks in advance!

No, leave it blank. It is only for details of a 'husband, wife or civil partner' as the form says.

The guide to form AN is quite clear ...
Ref: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... y_2015.pdf
On this part of the form we use the term “partner” to mean your husband, wife or civil partner. If your partner is not a British citizen and would like to apply, they will need to make their own application on a separate form
So an unmarried partner would not be included in answer to q 1.35
You could always mention your partner in the 'additional information' section if you wished to, to indicate a linkage to the separate application your partner will be submitting.
