I think you state Yes even when applying via NCS.aurnoc wrote:Hi guys,
My hubby has an ILR BRP issued to him.
The Form AN section 6.7 states:
BRP enclosed? Yes or No
If not, then please state the location of BRP
Please let me know which option to opt for? From our understanding, NCS only keeps photocopies and returns original documents. In which case there's no option stating that the photocopy has been submitted and original has been. returned.
Thanks.

NCS either forwards the BRP or forwards a certified photocopy to HO.
Either way you effectively submitted the card in your application.
Because NCS would have sent a copy of your BRP which means if you need to travel you can while you wait for your application to be processed. You will need to return the BRP to HO within 5 days of your ceremony if your application is approved.srivisaN wrote:Hi,
I applied through NCS today, and selected yes for this question initially.
The representative over there, cancelled my "yes" entry and selected "No" and asked me to write "Applied through NCS" in the box below.
I am sure that it is not logical, anyone had similar expeience ?
Thanks,
Sri.
It does appear that the NCS may have got that one wrong (may have thought that because only a certified copy of the BRP was being sent, the answer for 6.7 would be NO). What you had initially selected/written would have been correct. That said I'm sure the HO will enquire if they need further clarification. I doubt they will, as they'll see that a certified copy of your BRP is included with the application. As the AN form isn't scanned in (& read with OCR) like the passport form, it's unlikely that a small change like that would cause a problem.srivisaN wrote:Thanks, so does that mean the NCS lady screwed it up
Guidence says we should not strick off any data and she stricked it off and also made wrong selections.

Had a similar experience at Wandsworth last week for my combined application. The registrar asked if I would like to include my BRP original with the application. When I said No, he changed 6.7 to No and wrote in the box 'applied via NCS' while leaving 6.11 as NO. He explained that after the latest rule from HO on BRP return within 5 days, they have advised 6.7 to be Yes only if the original BRP card is being returned along with the AN form.srivisaN wrote:Hi,

That explains it & makes sense. Thanks for sharing, this will most likely help everyone applying with the new version of the AN form.ILR4PVM wrote:Had a similar experience at Wandsworth last week for my combined application. Maybe they will correct the wording/branching in a later version.
