Long term Multi entry Visitor Visa

Post by Santyroger » Wed Jul 01, 2015 11:57 am

Hi all,

My parents have visited UK a couple of times.

My Mother - 3 times
My father - 2 times

On all these instances, my parents had been in UK under 6 months visitor visas.

Now I am planning to apply 10 years MULTI entry family Visitor visa for both of my parents from India.

*Will it be successful for both of them?
*Is it advisable to go for other options like 2 years or 5 years?
*As per the UKBA rules, one shouldn't be in UK for continuous 180 days in each visit. So, If my parents gets a 10 year visit visa, could they be in UK for 5 months-leave Uk for a week- return UK & stay for another 5 months?

Kindly clear my doubts.

Thanks in advance. :)

No, they have to be 'genuine visitors' and while the rule of thumb is six months in twelve, it could be a lot less than that if the IO suspects some sort of residency is being maintained.

Your parents have to prove
"a frequent and ongoing need to come to the UK"
How can you explain that?
