Schengen visa financial requirements

Post by ca2lejero » Sun Oct 21, 2007 12:04 am

Hello everybody. I'm going to apply for Schengen from Ecuador. They impose some financial requirements, the one that interests me is the amount of money on the account. How much is it on your opinion? Would US$5000 be enough? And which Schengen area country has been known as the ´´easiest´´(in a sense of getting a visa)?
Thanks a bunch in advance.

You will need to provide proof of travel arrangements to and from your destination as well as proof of accomodation (hotel bookings or an invitation from a friend, relative, etc)

You will be expected to demonstrate that you can support yourself during your stay, approximately €30 to €40 a day.

It's not about what Schengen country is the easiest to apply through, it's about what country is your main destination or what country will you be entering first. Please take note of this or you will be classed as a visa shopper and it will affect your future applications.
