Citizenship and/or Nationality when on ILR

Post by mabhang » Sat Jul 04, 2015 4:38 pm

Dear Members,

I am on ILR and I want to apply for my baby's British passport.
Under one section they have asked for Father's Nationality and Citizenship. Should I put British or Indian?
Member please help!
Thank you. :)

If you have ILR, then you don't have British Citizenship. You are settled in the UK. British Citizenship is something you have to apply after being on ILR for at least 12 months. I'm assuming you haven't applied for British Citizenship, so in that case it'll be your current nationality, which is Indian :)

Was your baby born in the UK and born AFTER you got ILR?
