FLR (FP) LETTER FROM LANDLORD/LOCAL AUTHORITY

Post by Cloudy_9 » Wed Jun 24, 2015 3:54 pm

Hi,

I've recently applied in the above category as parent of British child. I am now being asked for further documents which includes letter from Landlord confirming who lives in my home. But I do not know my landlord as I rent through an agency. Would a letter from the letting agency be sufficient? Or do I have to ask them to get a letter from the landlord on my behalf? Looks like the Home Office are really bent on it being from the Landlord, but I'm not really sure :? . Any response would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The letting agency should be fine.

Hi Wise,

No, I didn't use any lawyer. I applied myself with supporting letters from friends, my payslips, my passport and child's passport but I simply forgot to include bank statement and it wasn't even required. I had also overstayed a couple of months, so I had to include a covering letter to explain why. In total, it took about 2 months. Hope this helps.
