@shaf1234

If the visa is stamped and states valid to travel from 3rd July then yes they have 30 days from 3rd of July
It would state valid until and that's the date they would need to be in the uk on or before

So you have got 33 months by looks of it strangely that isn't 30 days

What does that mean sajjaduk?
Has anyone else got 33 months visa as opposed to 30 days?

Shaf on your application form what date did you fill in ad request for the question:

What date does you partner intend to travel to the uk?

I put 18th may 2015.
This was just 6 week forward date from my online application.

As far as I'm aware
If you gave a 30 day stamp it would say valid for travel until and that would be a month from the valid from date as opposed to those who have got 33 months would get a stamp which states an expiry of 2.5 years later.

So by looks of it you have got 33 months
Can you confirm when did you actually submit was it on or before 18th march coz that was transitional period where so got 30 days and some 33 months.

Plus with the 30 days you would also have got a letter advising of how to collect a brp card in the UK which if you would have got you would've mentioned or noticed

It would say for example 8th July valid from and valid for travel up until 7th August

@shaf1234

Then luckily you have got a 33 month visa and that's for sure
As I just checked up and a 30 day sticker would be valid for 30 days and the BRP card one would get when they reach uk is which would have the remaining time written on it
So it's strange but lucky at the same time

Thanx sajjad.
I have one question,do we now need to retake a TB test again? (before travelling as the old one may expire before he arrives here).

You don't need to redo the TB test once visa is granted
The visa holder just needs to bring their expired TB certificate with them to the uk and present it to the entry officer if requested
