Have Tier2 ICT staff long term visa - am i eligible for PR?

Hi,
I got my tier2 ICT long term visa stamped on 30th may 2010 valid for 2 years. Thereafter I was in UK from May 31 till July 30 2010. I was then in India until Feb 2012. Then I was back in UK on the same visa on 20 March 2012. Got tier2 ict visa extended until june 2014. Subsequnntly it was extended again until june 2015. And now until june 2016. I've stayed in uk continuously starting March 2012. Am I eligible for PR? If not when will I become eligible, if at all?. If not, what other visa types I can switch to, so as to stay and work in UK for a longer period.

When did you APPLY for the visa? If it was after April 6, 2010, you are not eligible for ILR until you hit 10 years in the UK (2022). You can continue to extend your visa until you reach the 10 years. Alternatively, you are eligible to switch to Tier 2 General if you switch sponsors and fit the criteria (pass RLMT etc). You would need to be on this visa for 5 years. The absence from July 2010 - Feb 2012 reset your 10 year ILR clock.

Some people might be able to apply for SET (LR) 10 years after entry, but a gap of 6 months out of the country breaks LR... The OP was absent for 18 months in a row - you do the maths.

They can apply for extensions to Tier 2 ICT until the OP reaches 10 years without gaps as required by the rules at the moment.
