Or you can send them direct but would be easier to send to partner so they can attach their docs with your docs and the application form to send across to sheffield

themanman wrote:Hi guys,

I was about to apply for a spouse visa for my wife and now found out that from 6th July all documents need to sent to UKVI sheffield office in UK. Has any one submitted any application since 6th July?

I am a little unsure and there is not much information available elsewhere.

Do we also need to send printed version of online application, Appendix 2 and photographs with supported documents? or will these be submitted along with Passport at UKVI office in Pakistan?
Sending them separately wouldn't be a so sensible I say, unless there's a desperate need to do so. Best to send one complete package.

-yes all documents, every single thing apart from Pakistani passport
-you pay the fee online when u submit visa form online and select appointment for bio metrics
-when she goes to the embassy in mirpur they will take her bio metrics and take passport, they will issue her with bio metric receipt she will need to send this to u along with all the other documents including TB test, English test and any supporting documents u have left with her

Aslaam walai kum, can somebody please help. I've just read a comment saying your employment letter has to be older then 28 days.. Is that true? I sent my documents on 05/05/2015 and they were received on 08/05/2014. I requested a proof of employment letter which was dated at 15/04/2015. Started my job 7 months prior to my application. Is this proof of employment date a serious issue?

@stillwaiting123

Where does it say we need to send the biometric receipt as well?
Ive had the passport submitted in today and the women there said its best if i send of the documents today (documents present in london). She could have said you need to send the bio receipt as well before parcel dispatch.

@worried about review

1st time I was refused because my savings were low I earn £13,000, and my savings were supposed to be £30,000 the lawyer said to my dad who handled my case anything over £25,000 is fine so I had £27,500 that was one reason, another was because I was due to have my son Jan 2014 I took maternity leave from December to April and the lawyer said u have 6 wage slips from before use them put your maternity leave in and submit one more to show u have gone back to work so they said your payslips are not corresponding, I had no knowledge at all wasn't on any of the forums didn't read up on anything left it to the lawyer I was pregnant so didn't really think to much into it and obviously couldn't appeal ..

2nd time everything was perfect over £33,000 savings but my last payslip didnt show going into my bank account so i needed to submit the next bank statment to show this so that's why I appealed as I have the proof required

Just passport to submit but your spouse should take copy of the online visa application as well as they need it to scan into their system. They return it upon bio completion. To stay on safe side, provide copy without signature? thats what we did cause it can only be submitted once. I had 2 copies of online application brought to me signed, you never know when 1 gets messed up.

Still need to post docs to sheffield, you can submit before 14 July if you've got everything present.

A post written by a brother on the facebook page...

A few questions have repeatedly come up, ie when do we submit to sheffield, is it before or after submitting the passport etc

Let me break it down as to how we would go about this process.

1) You have completed the online application and are in a position to submit online and pay and book the Gerrys appointment to submit your passport and biometrics (fingerprints).
Don't forget the NHS charge which you also have to pay.

2) As soon as you submit the application online, send the pdf of the online application to your spouse in Pakistan who can get this printed off and sign and date it. At the same time you will book Gerrys to submit your Passport. Book it at a time that is convenient to your spouse in Pakistan.
Your appointment could be made within a few days depending on the time slots available at Gerrys (Visa application centre).

3) Your appointment is now booked for Gerrys. Your Pakistani spouse only has to submit their Passport and Biometrics that are done in the visa application centre. You will receive an appointment confirmation that your spouse will print out and take with them to the centre.

4) Your Pakistani spouse can send all their documents to you in the UK including the signed online application form immediately.

To be honest most of these documents could be sent to the UK well in advance (ie nikah nama, english test, tb test etc) but for my example, lets say you waited until after the online submission to send all the documents to the UK as you are required to provide a signed copy of the online application.

Use a credible courier to send the documents to the UK such as Skynet (they have locations all over pakistan) or use any other credible courier or if you have any relative or anyone coming to the UK you could ask them to take your documents.

5) It should take a few working days for the UK spouse to receive all the documents.

In the meantime your Pakistani spouse has probably now submitted their passport and biometrics at Gerrys.

6) UK spouse is also in a position now to submit all the supporting documentation to UKVI in Sheffield.

The address for supporting documentation to be sent to is:

Settlement applications
International Operations and Visas
6 Millsands Vulcan House
Sheffield
S3 8NH
United Kingdom

Please ensure that the GWF reference number (generated when the application is completed online) is marked clearly on both the outside of the envelope and at the top right hand corner of enclosed documents.

You can send it to Sheffield with Royal Mail Special Delivery or with a courier.
DO NOT SEND ANYTHING WITH STANDARD OR RECORDED ROYAL MAIL. Your documents are very important and must be send with Special Delivery or with a Courier.

7) Patiently await your your application to be processed
