Unpaid holiday - Business trip on HSMP

Hi,
I am having HSMP valid for next 2years. I am already completed 3 years in UK on Work Permit. Now my questions are

1) If I take an unpaid holiday for around 6months will that effect anything on my permanent residency application after 2 years of time.
2) What if my company send me for business visa outside UK in some European or Asian country for 6months of time?

You are not allowed to be outside the UK for more than 3 months under the HSMP.

just to add up purplepple word continuos 3 months. By the way you are allowed to be outside UK but your ILR clock resets. Thats what purplepple meant I suppose.
