ILR Dependent Visa for baby born in India

Post by sathish_nec » Fri Jul 10, 2015 10:12 am

Hi,

First of all thank you all for your wonderful help in this forum. I have gone through many stages of my visa process and it would have been a night mare without the help from you guys.

Me and my wife are on ILR at the moment. My wife and new born baby (Just before 20 days) are India and they are planning to come back to UK in October. Please can you guys let me know which is right visa that I should apply for our baby.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks again

Sathish S

Hi Vinny,

Thanks a lot for the immediate response.

Me and wife have got ILR and not British citizenship. So not sure if the same rule applies to us for child settlement.

Please can you clarify this for us.

As ILR holders, you are considered "settled" in the UK and hence, in domestic law (not EU law), you have most of the same rights and restrictions as a British citizen. So, your child would apply for the same settlement provision as that of a British citizen

Thanks Vinny and secret simon.

Can I confirm the following please.

1. Is "VAF4A" the form that I should fill in.

2. Should I also fill in Appendix 1 and / or any other appendixes / forms

3. Is there any financial requirements (maintanance) needed to be shown.

4. If possible, the required documents list please.

Thanks a lot guys
