Dear All,

You all are talking about scores of 32, 36, 40. Can you kindly let me know what this score is about

My soon to be employer is applying for a COS and i would like to tell him what he needs to be just on the safe side

Your advise is highly appreciated

Hi ITGraduate,

Scroll to Criteria section of the URL below. You can calculate the score from the type of Job and salary offered. In the current prevailing scenario the higher the score the higher the changes of getting a CoS.

http://www.findlaw.co.uk/law/immigratio ... 30431.html

Until recently, the route has been undersubscribed and therefore the limit was not reached. The cap was hit for the first time in June 2015. Criteria section, the URL above, outlines how applications are prioritised when the monthly cap is reached. The application must score points from both columns but can only score points for one entry in the first column. For example, if a job is a shortage occupation but the employer has carried out a resident labour market test, the application will score 75 points from the first column, not 105. A further score is then added for the salary paid for the job. For example, if the job is a shortage occupation and the salary payable is £26,500 the application will score 75 points plus a further 8 points for salary, giving 83 points in total. Points for salary will not be awarded if it is not at or above the appropriate rate for the job.

[quote="ms10"]Hi Guys -

My employer is reappying this month at 36 points after they had a refusal in May 2015 allocation as there was no closing date in the advert. They again did RLMT inline with home office rules but I am worrying so much this time around as cap could hit my luck not being graned this time as well. :(

I am in the same situation and i have a point standing of 70... I dont know what happened. My contract is for three years (teaching English)

Can't see any reason why they have rejected unless your employer didn't do RLMT inline with HO guidance. What was the reason of resusal sent by UKVI?

Does anyone have information on what the cut off could be this time? People who are in direct contact with company immigration HR or immigration lawyers and solicitors can help us with answers :D

There were severals meetings with MAC this week so hopefully there are some updates about this as well.

Is the Restricted COS only for people within the UK?

How does the application for the Tier 2 differ for people applying outside of the UK to come into the UK?

Rcos is for ppl applying from OUTSIDE the UK mate.

If you have a Tier 2 or Tier 4 or Tier 5 in the UK, and given you satisfy the requirements, you don't need Rcos. Employers can issue unrestricted cos, which takes a very short amount of time.

Otherwise, even if you are in the UK, applying for Tier 2 needs to be done outside the UK and have Rcos. I hope I am correct, but pls refer to the docs on Gov.uk.

Let's hope this month mate. Mine was rejected in May as there was no closing date. Don't know how it goes in July. I am scoring at 36. Its big worry at the moment.

I have 40 Points in total that is 30 from RLMT and 10 for Salary. My Employer submitted the request for RCoS before 5th of July and then contacted by panel demanding further documents such as my contract letter.

I just hope the points in July comes down to 32 so things stay fair as they are supposed to be.

Yes, Home office requested my Contract letter from my Employer , and I am thinking they would not ask for further documentation unless they are considering the application.

That is my question , that they must be considering applications for that points they have requested documents for otherwise what's the point asking for further documentation ? right.

Hoping it goes back to 32 !

Hi both,

What type of further documents they requested? In my opinion it's not an indicator since they always check all applications regardless of their points, so that they can 1st reject unqualified one...But when did u submit ur application? As I can see they ask for extra documents on 2th, which is quite late for verification...
