My employer also says it's not optimistic this time. Why do they all appear frustrated so early....

I am at 38..

I guess June months trends are scaring everyone as the cut off was 50.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ponsorship

If u check the link , the min cut off was 32 all along and suddenly spiked to 50 in June.

I say we are DOOMED

What type of further documents they requested? As I can see they ask for extra documents on 2th, which is quite late for verification...

HI

In my case, My Employee was asked to send them a copy for contract. My application was submitted on 3rd of July , and on 6th of July request for further documents (Contract) was received. Contract was sent on the same day to HO Panel.

You could be right, this could be just to check the validity of the application but I would like to think of it as why would they request further documents for applications that are not going to meet the minimum points required anyways ?

that being said, My points are 40 and I am hoping i get the notification tommo

By the way , this month the 2,049 + 100 = 2149 certificates of sponsorship available to grant, looking at this number all those who have applied should get one.

But again, I am analyzing from my perspective and it could be wrong to some extent.

Good luck all

Hi ks227,

Looking at gov.uk site it has 2,049 certificates available for July month.
Could you please clarify how does it add 100 to that?

Basically, it's what the policy says...

MAC either accepts the No. of Cos available (in this case 2049, plus 100) as the maximum, or they reject all that below certain points. Just like what happened in June.

So in June, there were at least 394+100 applications that fell in the category of 45 points, which is the next category below the 50 points one.

Hi All,

I would also want to understand the same point why would those applications be assessed for validity if they are falling out of the qouta?

Hi Rabiya - that's a good question but I think they do further checks if they are considering the application and they ensure it is a valid one before they approve it. It is just my assumption.

Can you let us know your points please?

Last month, applications scoring below 50 points were not looked at and it makes sense.
I was under the same impression..BUT Home office first validates all applications and requests for additional documentation, if required, then decides if an application satisfies all criteria and rejects applications that are do not. They are finally left with a stack of VALID applications.

On July 13, HO team will then meet again and decide how many valid applications can be allotted CoS. if valid applications > monthly quota then Points based system kicks-in.

Here are my two cents on allocation this month

Total number of certificates of sponsorship granted in June ( shortage, PhD and 50 & above points) : 1,215
Balance of certificates of sponsorship carried over to July 2015 : 394
Surplus that can be allocated : 100

Assuming we have 500 applications @ 45 points in June who apply again in July
Assuming we have 500 NEW applications @ 45 point in July
Assuming we have again 1215 shortage, PhD and 50 & above points applications
---------------------------
1215+500+500=2215
---------------------------

Number of certificates of sponsorship available for allocation in July 2015 : 2,049+100=2149

For 45 points applicants to qualify they are still short by 2215-2149=66 and on top of that there is some allocation for applications from Croatia.

I hope results tomorrow proves me wrong. Future never looked this uncertain.

Hi Both

I understand your point of view, but it is stated in the policy that HO Panel may ask for further documentation if panel have some doubts about the application , this could mean two things..
1) for that point they are considering the application and hence needs further documents before issuing RCoS
2) Your point of view

I just hope you are wrong xD

Hi All

My company submitted my application for July and I am trying to understand if everyone, whether you apply for a Tier 2 (skilled) and Tier 2 (General) need points? Obviously my company is a certified sponsor and we have thousands of expats. They didn't tell me my points but here is what I found online... My company had me apply for the Tier 2 General Visa.

English = 10
Salary = 20
Sponsorship = 30
Maintenance = 10

I hit all of the following points.... I assume I have 70 but really not sure any help would be great!
