Salam brother Saj,

You will be getting your decision very soon as well InshAllah. Do you reckon it's worth sending a escalation email on the 8th Week? or shall I wait?.. My brothers Mrs got her visa exactly on week 12, but then again he did phone them for an escalation couple of weeks prior to that..
Yes you can do
There is no harm in doing so
Or you can call them after eid
By now they would definately be doing the online verification

@lahore90210

It's the 1st stage of assessing they do on a application after which they then do other checks .

Once these are done is it forwarded to eco to be assessed and for a decision to be made

Difficult to understand how they have proceeded to the May applications when quite a few of people here are april applicants and havent heard anything. My biometrics are 26th May and am in my 7th week

One email said that my initial online assessment had been done and was under process for further enquiries and checks

Recently it said that my application had not been assessed by the ECO.

This is confusing as hell. But i am looking to mid august atleast to hear some news. I just thought that because i had the matter escalated i would hear from them sooner. Fingers crossed and wishing everyone here best of luck.

Hi guys, does anyone know how long they take to respond to an escalation. On Saturday they emailed me saying they've contacted the relevant team. It's been 2 working days. I was hoping to get a reply after a day or so?

Thanks

Someone posted a link which mentioned that The Conservative Party wanted to increase the income threshold to around 40K in the previous parliament but the Liberal Democrats vetoed it.

Currently I don't think there are any proposals to increase the income threshold although it may be increased by a couple of thousands in the future. People living up North where the average incomes are lower would suffer the most as some people are already struggling to meet the current income threshold and some people have to hold 2 jobs to meet the requirement.
