Job status in December and January

Hi Experienced Guys,

Can anybody tell me what will be the Job status in UK in month of December and January, considering its a Chritmas time?

Is it good time to travel to UK for Job search OR
better to wait untill January end?

from mid jan. job market picks up very well.

Dec and Jan are usually quiet. There is work around but sometimes it can take a while to get contracts etc organised because the people who need to approve it are on holidays, HR are on holidays, ....
