I expected to see a few people getting their visas this week but seems like a slow week so far, so if you don't hear tomorrow then I guess you have to wait until Tuesday.

This is the 5th week since I submitted my application, I wonder at what stage is my application, whether it is seen by the ECO or not. :mrgreen:

They normally start the checks about week 6 onwards so not a lot would be done at the moment other than the file gathering Pakistan dust :p
In Shaa Allah pray you don't have to wait long
June is normally a quiet month for applications so once may is done can imagine them going through the files faster :)

@adnan111

Brother what u understood was correct. Initially when we submitted case, officer at VAC said u don't need hospital birth certificate, so we didn't submit it. We had the photocopy at the time. Now embassy is asking for original. That's y I was confused and posted on this forum, just to see if anyone else had similar experiences.

Thanks for the reply. U speaking from experience or just guessing? Because when my wife submitted the case at VAC, they told her we don't need the hospital certificate as u have the rest, so she didn't submit hospital birth certificate.

However now the embassy ccontacted her stating we need original, she explained at the time VAC said I don't need it and now your telling me I do. Embassy simply said then we didn't but now we do. Joke. So we decided as hospital is local just ask them to provide another original certificate, and going to post that.

What do u reckon? It's the best way or not?

Any ones feedback/advice is much appreciated. Thank you

I am confused as you state that you didn't submit hospital certificate but then you state the embassy is asking for original?

Thanks
The above is news to me also
Normally it would be sufficient to send pakistan birth certificate / nadra certificate as evidence
If they are asking they may be wanting to do further checks and are wanting to have an actual birth record from the hospital to ensure the child is yours and was born out of matrimony.

If you have misplaced the birth certificate you can either advice them you have lost it and have the other relevant documents to prove the child's birth and relation to yourselves as parents.

Getting another from hospital is a good idea also but you would also require a covering letter from the hospital to state that it is a true original copy of the birth as the original has been lost ...

I would call the enquiry line and verify the status to ensure that the status of it being processed is correct and if so why hasn't the documents been sent to VAC as of yet ...
They normally do send the documents out within a couple of days which in your case does look like it's gone over the time limit

Brother I'll suggest according to my experience go to the hospital where ur child born ask thm that u lost birth certificate of ur child and u need new one they will charge u for that like may b 1000Rs and they will give u new birth certificate after checking their record make sure u bring all ur hospital records with u when u visit that hospital.

@sajjaduk

Thanks for the reply brother, really appreciate it. Your answer does make sense. I have a copy of the original, not the original itsel. Original was a hand written document, which we requested from the hospital, they did not give it at the time of birth. I know it sounds strange. Personally I think easiest will be to just get another one made. Otherwise case might get further delayed until they don't receive an original. You know how fussy they are. Gonna include a cover letter also just explaining that if they require additional docs, anti-natal records etc, they too are available.

Thanks for your response though.
