FLR (FP) 10 Year Route

Post by Aroon123 » Sun Jul 19, 2015 3:43 pm

FLR (FP) 10 YEAR ROUTE – QUESTION
My husband no longer meets the financial requirements of £18,600, he earns just £10,000 per year, I am on a UK Spouse visa on a 5 Year Route, I wanted to know is it possible for me to switch to the 10 Year Route?.
We also have had a child just under a year now. The child is British.
My visa extension is due early next year and I am worried that i might have to leave the country as my husband cant meet the financial requirement. Any advise will be helpful.

Are you working and earning?

You may have to go under the 10 years route if his or your combine earning falls below the threshold .

I am not working or earning at the moment. My husband is my sponsor and I live with his parents and their home.
I wanted to know that if I have a British child will it be possible for them to transfer me to the 10 year route for the childs sake?
Or will I have to leave the country? Im just so confused. Thanks for the help

You won't have to leave the country. If the situation is the same when the time comes for you to submit your application, apply for FLR(FP).

With the FLR(FP) Route do I have to make the application every 2 1/2 years. I wanted to know what application fees are involved? and also will they take into consideration the 2 1/2 years I have already stayed in the country or its 10 years from the point for the new application.

Yes 4*2.5 years extension= 10 years.

At the moment flr fp fees is 649 pounds u never know how much it will be next year as HO keep increasing fees every year normally in april.

Dont forget that u also have to pay Health surcharge fees each time u apply for visa or extension. Which is 200 pound a year. So if u apply for 2.5 year. than 500 pound extra. So 649+500= 1149 pound for one 2.5 years extension.

No u need to complete 10 years on flr fp. than ILR.

Earliest ILR route is on 10 years Long residence basis. U need to complete 7.5 year on flr fp and u can add your current spouse visa 2.5 years. SO 7.5+2.5= 10 years. But no body knows about when HO change this 10 years long residency rule.

Better to start a job yourself or tell your husband to start a second a job to meet financial requirement £18600. Than after 2.5 years u can apply ILR.
