maintenance evidence for tier 2 general dependant partner

I am due to apply for in country extension as partner dependant, besides the new health surcharge, do I have to provide evidence of maintenance as I will be applying separately from the main applicant or I just fill in that its sponsored by A rated sponsor, NHS.
2.does anyone know if NHS certificate of sponsorship covers dependants? ?

You can show maintenance funds in the below ways -

1. Ask your employer (main applicant's) to provide a maintenance letter to support you
2. Show enough fund in bank (I guess £630) for 90 days.

There will be an option in COS as below, but I am not sure whether you have similar one for the dependent as well.

I don't think you are required to show evidence of maintenance funds if you're just applying for extension and already in UK. See policy guidance to confirm.

hv gone thru policy guidance especially 59 60 and 61 and its kinda confusing
its as if . if I had applied with main applicant at same time then I would not need evidence of funds but since I am to apply separately then I need evidence. .
help with clarification there
