has job offer but waiting on Tier2depend application result

Hi

I am currently on Tier 2 sponsorship visa with my current employer and have applied to become my partners dependent as I have resigned.
Can I accept a new job offer with a new employer or do I have to wait for the application result. I believe there is a cooling off period does it apply here?

I have applied for standard application process can I pay the extra charge and change it to premium so I can get the result earlier?

You will need proof of being eligible to work. Waiting for an application which is different to what you are on now is not proof. Why did you not apply in person for a same day decision? You can't change it now.

As far as I am aware, you are not subject to cooling off if switching to dependent status.

1. You can accept a job offer but cannot join work unless your application is approved.
2. You may withdraw the application but you will lose the application fee!
