My wife has submitted her application today! Applied online 29th June, my wife submitted her passport and all the sponsorship documents today at Islamabad. List of documents below;

- Printout of appointment confirmation and online application
- VAF4A Appendix 2
- Nikkanamah original and attested English translation
- My Decree Absolute from the UK and Talaaqnamah and attested English translation
- 12 months bank statements
- Letter from HSBC confirming my address and length of time with the bank
- 12 months payslips
- P60 for the last 2 years
- Letter from my employer confirming my salary, contract type, length of time with the company and confirmation of my holidays when I went to get married in Pakistan in March/April
- My original employment contract
- Title Deed
- Mortgage statement
- Mortgage contract documents
- Home insurance certificate
- Council Tax bill
- Housing inspection report
- Vectone Mobile itemised call history, extracts from WhatsApp conversations and photos from our wedding and some from after
- Attested copies of my driving licence, passport and NICOP card
- Coppies of my wife's previous passports and ID cards
- TB test certificate
- English test certficates

Think that's the lot!

oh no if your 13th may you will in my opinion defo get a decision some time in august, they are at the moment on 27-30 april, inshallah may should start next week, all the best

So peers who apply in July are looking at around October for updates as to what the outcome with be

i applied Beginning of Feb got decision end of April
people who applied in mid Feb to mid march got decision is May/June
end of March/April in july
Beginning of May/June- August/early september
so JULY id say end of september but defo by first 2 weeks of october

Applied on 14-04-2015
04-07-2015: it is yet to be assessed by an Entry Clearance Officer (ECO).
08-07-15: found that a decision on your application has been delayed whilst further enquiries are being conducted
08-07-15: Application was escalated
15-07-15: 'Initial checks/pre assessment completed. Application is in Entry Clearance Officer’s queue for further assessment.
17-07-15: Application is currently in progress
24-07-15: Application is currently in progress

I do not think it works that way. It depends on the case. Otherwise everybody would apply from one VAC and not the other. It depends on false documentation or no documentation. If you get the visa from lhe then you would have got the visa from mirpur too. In my humble opinion

I think it does not depend on case or vac, it all depends on who is assessing as some are more lenient than others

It seems that the additional documents which I posted direct to the embassy later have not been returned by Gerrys. Does anyone know how additional documents submitted are to be returned?

It's possible that those extra documents were not even seen by the eco and are still in the post room at the embassy

They definitely got it before they decided as I sent it by special delivery and it was received one week before consideration. ECO should have considered them as without those extra papers I think it would have been rejected. I faxed the covering letter on 1st July. Anyway strange.

If they reject sometimes they keep some as evidence to support rejection in case of appeal but with a successful application they shouldn't really keep anything. I think perhaps they got the covering letter fax and verified everything online and didn't even look at the extra paperwork. So the paperwork is still lying somewhere in the HC, just my theory.

I don't really need the paperwork as I don't have any other use for it but still it would be nice to know where the paperwork is. It is possible that it may arrive separately in UK as it was sent by me and not given by my wife.

May send them a fax if I don't hear back from them in a couple of weeks.
