We have applied for my Wifes renunciation of British citizenship on 23 July.
How many days after do they take out the money from the account?
Thanks
Never seen it on a gov website. I got this from a freedom of information post that I posted on http://whatdotheyknow.com. https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ing-572263sandeshk wrote:Thanks Chaoclive
Where could i find the below Regulations on government website?
"A person who held dual British/EEA citizenship, and who has renounced
their British citizenship, will be considered an EEA national for the
purposed of the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 (as
amended). A person who has brought themselves within the definition of EEA
national under regulation 2 by renouncing their British citizenship will
be in the same position as an EEA national who has never held British
citizenship."
Thanks
I have provided you with the link above. This is the only location where you will be able to find this. It is not from any regulation. Why can't you print it from the whatdotheyknow website? It was a formal response from the Home Office.sandeshk wrote:Actually i was think to print out that regulation from the web and highlight it and submit with my visa application.
But is it necessary or should i just add the below lines in covering letter.
"A person who held dual British/EEA citizenship, and who has renounced
their British citizenship, will be considered an EEA national for the
purposed of the Immigration (European Economic Area) Regulations 2006 (as

I just want them to know that my wife is ‘Relevant EEA national’ after renouncing the British citizenship.
Thanks
