Friends address for BC application

Hi,
I would be eligible for BC in January 2015 but we would be moving city (but within UK) in April. I will apply for BC in January but looking at the latest timeline it doesn’t looks like I am going to get approval before April 2015.So my question is can I use one of my friends who is living and working locally. He has no plans to move. Would using friends address for BC application be acceptable?

You can use your friends address in your present address.
They will send all the correspondence to your friends address.
I did this for one of my Tier 1 visa extension.

That's interesting.HMRC would have my new address (new city where I moved to) and UKBA would have my friends address.I am not sure how will HO see this & interpret ?

Its not mandatory to keep same address with Home Office and HMRC.
May be write a covering letter explaining the possibility of you moving addresses hence using friends address for correspondence.
