Please relax, I haven't seen any approvals/rejections for applications post 6th April, 2015, you will possibly be the first lot to get approvals since they introduced biometric enrolment....

I have only seen a few approvals coming through for applications made in the 1st week of April but before 6th April, so you are fine!

Again, this forum only represents probably 1% of actual cases, so its also an extrapolation anway....

You are just over thinking. Stop worrying too much about it. In fact forget that you have applied for Naturalization.
We all are anxious about the outcome. But you need to be patient.

I am worried because I had TV license fine last September someone give my details to TV license and they issued non payment arrest warrant against me police stop me at airport and I paid fine at airport no arrest no couction no warrang

Well this does sound like a serious issue. If I was you I would've spend little more money on the CRB check. It doesn't matter who reported you but you were on police record for sure which I think could cause a problem under good character clause. You were not arrested and no caution but that only makes you eligible for applying but doesn't guarantee approval. I'm not sure if there is a database for TV license fines or if that appears on credit history.

Thanks your reply I check with police national computer it was clean also I went police station about this mater and they told me nothing in our computer and it's not recordable case also I applied from ncs service and lady explain in covering later also she rang to home office and they said just explain everything

If there was nothing in police record it was not required to be explained in a cover letter. However, if you paid fine for avoiding TV licence which is generally 1000 GBP and is a criminal offence, it can affect your application if HO decide to do checks on your application. Wish you good luck

I agree with usman81. Bringing this issue up will ring the alarm bells. What if there was no record at all. Now clearly you have told them you have done something wrong in the past which is against the law. I'm thinking what excuse you can make for avoiding TV license and then being reported by someone else lol. You cannot rely on NCS staff as you cannot blame them for rejection.

If there was no police record how they spotted you on airport? How they found out you were about to fly and made you pay the fine at the airport? I'm sure your name appeared some where on the system. I don't know about police national computer but CRB is more thorough.

I think you should call TV license and ask them.

I rang TV license and they said you pay the fine mater is finish with us it was happend in Birmingham 2008 also I explain in later person who lived on that address .. Arrest warrant issue from shuffled court . Police officer told me pay the fine or we have to arrest u so I did pay fine 260 pound so I been honest and explain everything in my covering later also I attached photo copy off police clearance certificate with my application so it's mean they will reject me straight way ..I applied 14th April I done biometric on 14th May after that nothing so it's mean still my application close no body even check nothing ?

HO will have do certain checks on all applicants. After doing all those check they make decision whether to approve or not. 'good character' is a very tricky clause that covers almost everything and anything. It's hard to say anything whether your application will be approved or rejected. The question is if you were not guilty why you paid the fine?

The guidelines say that you can apply for naturalisation after certain years even if you have committed crime. But after this good character clause in December, HO can reject anyone. Even if you have missed tax payment of £5 or filed bankruptcy or mistakenly provided wrong info on application.

Since it's been 7 years when you were convicted, that might sway into your favor provided you maintained clean history 2008 on wards.

I attach my police clearance cirtificate,covering latter,TV licence fine paid racipt and court arrest warrant dated 2008 non payment TV licence and police recite which say aresst warrant cancelled about tax I am full time working always pay tax I pay 580 tax every month

Hello guys I applied my bc aprail 2015 also I done my biometric on 14th may but I had driving conviction on driving without insurance on. 2011 I paid 245 fine and 6point on my licence so what you think ?this can be still affect on my British nationality application ????
