Is EEA4 neccessary?

Morning! I was curious to know if it is neccessary for me to go through the EEA4 route after the 5 years Residency. The reason i ask, is while my EEA2 will expire July 2017, I will be applying for Irish citizenship in Nov 2017 through marriage. Our company HR dept told me once I was married, no further documentation was required...
