Approved English Language Tests & Test Centers - HELP!!!

Post by zain_mustapha » Fri Aug 07, 2015 5:26 pm

Dear Experts,
Just got the LIUK test in the bag confused on where to get my wife's English language test sorted. Whilst I understand she needs to do a ESOL B1 entry 3 test but according to Home Office only Trinity College London is authorized and have two centers in London. I live in Slough and it is difficult for my wife to travel to London. Are there other Trinity College authorized, Home Office acceptable test centers in Slough or for that matter outside their own London ones?

The two I have searched online such as http://www.cslearning.org.uk/ and http://sloughcollege.org.uk/esol/register/step2/6 offer ESOL B1 test and infact CSLEARNING are even cheaper (£125) than Trinity College London (£150). I am not fussed about the saving but want to be absolutely sure we do the test from an authorized test center whose results/certificate are acceptable by the Home Office?

Could the experts please assure and advise if I can use either of these test centers in Slough? Thanks

Hi there,

If you are applying for settlement or leave to remain then you will need to provide English test from the new list.

Trinity College London or IELTS in order to quality for english requirements however if you have done the test previously then it is still valid till November 2015. In my opinion, I will advise you to go and do Trinity College London because it's simple and it only takes 10 mins and you will know straight away if you passed or not.
My opinions should not be constituted as an immigration or legal advice.
