March 2015 Naturalization application timeline

Hi Everyone

I've got a question please if anyone could clarify. I came to UK in Aug 2004 applied for my ILR on 28 Aug 2014 and got approval on 28 March 2015. When can I apply for Naturalisation someone was telling me that I can apply in this August as i have completed 11 years. As far as I know I think I have to be on ILR for a year before I can apply. Can please any clarify this.

Its 100% clear that u can apply for naturalisation
After getting ur ILR and after 1 year.only british spouse can apply
Straight away.it means u can apply in march 2016

does anyone know what kind of questions did caseworker asked when they contacted your referees ? thanks

In my case they didnt contact any referee. But what I heard from most people , may be its wrong but mostly they dont contact referees in naturalisation applications but they must contact passport application referee.

Congratulations to all board members who got their approvels.i applied 18th March but still waiting.i just want to know any body received a call from HO during the Naturalization and what's type of information they want normally on phone. I miss the call 4 times in a half hour from HO and received the message. After next day I called to HO they took my detail for passing the case worker but last 2 days I didn't received any call.i checked my application i write the father age year but missing the date and month on date of birth box.pls share if any body have a same experience.

Its 100% clear that u can apply for naturalisation
After getting ur ILR and after 1 year.only british spouse can apply
Straight away.it means u can apply in march 2016

It is also clear that you'll have to wait for 1 year before you apply for citizenship after you get ILR, which will be on or after 28 March 2016. If you are spouse of BC then you can apply straightaway after you get your ILR.

I received acknowledgment letter somewhere around mid of April 2015.
However, I have not received any approvals so far (its been two months now since application) and my case is very clear without any issues (5 years + 1 year ILR).

Has anybody received approvals for applications submitted on 31st March 2015 or later? Just wanted to check if my case is held up in particular or generally 31st March and beyond approvals are not coming yet.

Nobody in the April thread has gotten an approval. So your timeline is totally normal, if that makes you feel any better.

I have applied 25th March fee debited 16 April - not received approval

Hello mate, do not worry there are a few people here who have applied earlier in March too and are in the same boat as you...I applied on the 27th March and like you, I'm still waiting for approval.

March must have been a very busy month @ HO, with people rushing to beat the deadline for changes in T&Cs and increase in fees I guess.

When they asked more info from me I was approved within a week.

It'd been just over a week and I am still waiting, I have applied on the 6th of March.

Was it a week from the date the letter was issued or the day you've received u approval? Thx jaweb

It was the letter dated. Got it 5 days later. So all together like 12-13 days. Dont worry!
