If you are applying for ILR on the basis of 5 years on a work permit then they are now asking for p60's as a metter of course.

If it is on other grounds, then it is a lottery - they may check, they may not.

P60/P45

Post by Sam123 » Wed Oct 24, 2007 2:20 pm

Thanks Victoria

Yes I am applying on the basis of ILR, Do I need to submit all the P60s obtained during the last 5 years. I only have 2latest P60s and 1 P45. Rest of them lost. This is my 5th year on the wp and got 3 wps in 5years

If they reject my application, can my boss still apply for further WP Ext.?

Thanks for your advise

You should get what you can to show that you have been working here over the past five years, so if you can't find P60's then perhaps your employer has something, or you have bank statements and pay slips.

If not, then your employer can extend the WP, though with the scheme changing this might not be a great idea - you may not be able to rely on this to remain.

Hi,

My point is the company recruiting me is in a very high risk business, where the company bottom line depends on daily performance. So at the end of the day its the business profit that decides any salary increment and you can pretty well get stuck also without any revision. So having come all the way half round the world to start working and planning for settling down in UK you certainly can`t be comfortable with a half baked employment contract.

So having opted for relocating to UK based on this job certainly I would like to see some probabilities of getting myself up in the ladder and settling down rather than thinking back and forth the purpose of relocating for this job and all.

If you are earning 40k it is a very good salary and you should be able to settle with these earnings
