Marriage in Trinidad & tobago

Post by RJF1979 » Wed Aug 12, 2015 5:13 pm

Good afternoon everyone

I wanted to ask this question

I am from Northern Ireland and my future wife is from Venezuela

Me & my fiancé were to get married in Venezuela this year but things have got pretty bad there with the government there and it's not safe for me to go there, I went there last October to meet my fiancé family

I have a british passport but I have been thinking of getting an Irish passport and giving up my british citizenship..

I looked at Tobago to get married would it be legal & recognised in Ireland ?

And would it be ok to live and work there

DoIng a lot of reading and it's all confusing

I would be so thankful
