It is Maths or Science and not both. If you are applying for a RCOS I'm assuming you are outside the UK, the process is different from when you are applying from inside the UK. From outside the UK, the employer will not simply allocate a COS from the SMS system but has to apply at the Home Office. I'm quite certain yo application will be granted either way as you have a scarce skill.

Thanks for your response.

I will have no problems given my job title only Says - Secondary specialist Maths Teacher. It doesnt have science and i hope its ok now. I am relaxed

Yes I have 75 points as its on shortage occupation list and my soc code is 2314. My salary is 22K. ( so i have 75+ 4 = 79 points )

I am applying outside UK. My sponsor got their approval to sponsor me 2 weeks ago.

They are applying for my RCOS on SMS portal today. My sponsor and I hope to get the approval on the 11st Sept.

I assume after they get the approval, I can make the application from India.

I completely rely on the information people like you share/help as i don't have a source or an immigration specialist i can rely on completely here. May be there are few but I sincerely tried but couldn't find one

I hope i am in the right direction? If my assumptions are incorrect let me know please experts

Thanks

Ya I know PWC is not your employer, I mean to ask you that your application was processed by PWC team as my employer processed my application by PWC Legal.

Hi Monika,

i think we shouldn't disclose the our employer name here on forum, but i got your point..i am joining the same employer which you are going to join...and have just got information from someone, it will take some time for us to receive COS. Because in our case third party is filing the COS.

I think I am in the same boat (and likely employer) as you guys. I have also contacted the third party, and they said that a result isnt expected until the end of August, whilst stating that this month the decision will come later than usual.

I can't think of any feasible reasons why it would take that long, but to be fair the official figures for August 2015 have yet been released/updated in the government website.

All I know is that if my RCOS was granted, I need it asap otherwise I might not be able to get my visa before the September intake.

I am aware that your employer uses PWC services for applying/extending VISA's but i wasnt aware that they could also use there services for conducting RLMT and applying for COS. I thought it was employers responsibility to get the COS and then it came to PWC for facilitating visa process.

That said, it seems several of us are waiting on RCOS and for some reason its getting delayed. Lets see when we get an update and hopefully a positive one :)

So I've been looking at past threads in the forum, and in the month of August (2014, 2012) there are delays for some all the way to early September - not sure why. Perhaps we really do have a long wait ahead of us then?

For those still waiting for their RCOS, this thread might help:

http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... s#p1076296

Took UKBA nearly 10 days to update the Gov.uk website, and nearly 14 for the companies to assign the RCOS.

In summary, it basically says that "the delay was from the employer legal team who has been delaying in providing the necessary approvals."

In addition to that,
"Also as a general observation the allocation page of UK is not updated so far for the august month.whereas they have updated for other months within days."
This is happening for this month too, as last month it only took a day for them to update.

Hope this helps.

Hi Monika

Not all applications are processed through PWC. Not everyone is employed by PWC. PWC Legal is a division at PWC. Some people here are teachers, nurses, doctors, professors etc who have nothing to do with PWC and PWC Legal.

Hi

If your score is 75 points you have nothing to worry about, you will get your RCOS. If your application was submitted after 5 August 2015, expect the outcome just after 12 September 2015. Visit the UKVI website, it has most if not all the information you need, there is no need whatsoever to consult an expert or travel agency, most people here rely on information available on that website. It seems all you have to do now is sit back and be patient. Find out if you are required to take a TB test if you are applying from India, if so, you can do the TB test in the meantime, this information is also on the UKVI website.

Wow. According to ukba august figures 648 rcos were returned from previous month which resulted in 2347 being avaliable for august. Seems this is the reason points came down this month. Next month only 1519 avaliable.

I wonder why there are so many returned RCoS (648), because traditionally the number is only around 20-30 each month.
According to the MAC report, there are around 2500 applications rejected in June and July. We already know there are 1325 rejected in June. That leaves about 2500-1325=1175 rejected in July, ie 1175 for 32-40 in July.
The average number for 33-35 is 276.5, and 361.7 for 36-40, roughly 3:4. If the ratio remains, there are 1175*3/(3+4)=503 scored 33-35 rejected in August, and accordingly 1175*4/(3+4)=671 scored between 36-40 granted a RCoS. That draws the following conclusions:
1. If there were no returned RCoS which turned out to be 648, the number of available RCoS would be 648 fewer, leaving no possiblity for 40- granted a RCoS. The cutoff for Aug should have been 45.
2. Only 1519 available in Sep. Unless there are hundreds of returned RCoS again, the cutoff for Sep will be around 37 judged by the average number (1523 @37+), or 36 judged by the data for last September (1531 @36+).

To sum up, it was a miracle last month and there is very little for 33-35 still next month. TAT

For conclusion 1, if we use another ratio which is 228:570=2:5 from the data of June, there would be 1175*2/(2+5)=336 @33-35 in July, and 1175*5/(2+5)=839 @36-40.
The conclustion 1 should be edited as:
1. If there were no returned RCoS which turned out to be 648, the number of available RCoS would be 648 fewer, leaving no possiblity or only 839-648=191 for 40 granted a RCoS. We all know there were already 246 @40 in June, so the number @40 in August is almost certanly more than 291, which means all the applications @40 would have been rejected and the cutoff for Aug should have been 45.

I would say the miracle 648 is definitley speculation from a group of companies or even one single company. We know that unassigned CoS will be returned auto after 3 months, meaning that these returned CoS must be granted in May. Incidentally, there is a surge of CoS granted in May (over 2k) compared to previous months. This speculation leads to shortage in subsequent months, which is really a shame for Home Office and a disaster for many ppl who indeed need CoS. I dont know many dreams and futures have been swept away by this shameful action. I guess these companies were preparing for expansion but later failed to do so in time.

And for Sep, no miracle will happen again coz if we trace back 3 months from Sep...it's Jun, when there's more than a thousand rejection, how could there be unused RCoS? Worse than it is the surge of approved RCoS in Aug, which again creates shortage for later months.

To sum up, it's just a matter of luck when gambling ur fututre on this bullshit system.
