Nevertheless, you signed them so you must have checked them. Suggest you speak to your accountant.Hannah111 wrote:I did my PEO today for ILR and the case worker discovered that there were discrepancy in the HMRC figures and Home office figures for previous tier 1 renewals. It was my accountant that assisted me to file for my self-assessment tax returns. I am totally ignorant of how these taxes are calculated. I still have valid Visa till feb2015. The case worker told me that they needed to do further investigations before they can make decisions. Please I really need an urgent help or advice now?

thank you for all your suggestions. What is the process of withdrawing application? If I withdrawn the application, can I sort out discrepancies of 4 years ago? If I eventually sort out the tax issue, can the HO still refuse ILR?sushdmehta wrote:Get your previous tax returns checked by another accountant (I am hoping you have all the paperwork or can get it from the accountant(s) you used).
If there are tax irregularities in the previous years, I guess the only option you have is:
Withdraw the application before a decision is made, sort out your tax issues with HMRC, and when you have evidence that all tax issues are sorted then try your luck again.
I mean withdrawing the application on the basis of correcting any mistakes in the tax. Can the tax of 4 years ago be corrected?
You will need to contact HMRC or your accountant about this. Can the tax of 4 years ago be corrected?
If you withdraw the application do u have to give them a good reason and justify it later on when u put up the fresh application. ...?
How long visa do u have left..?Hannah111 wrote:Is there any negative implication of withdrawing the application?
