Accompany wife visa problems

Post by Pellegrinelli » Wed Aug 19, 2015 6:01 pm

Hi all

My wife is from ukraine. We were planning to get her an accompany spouse visa, then both got to Ireland together for the first time.

Then visa agency here in ukraine said that if we apply for this, without me having a job and place to stay first in Ireland, it will be 100% refused, and my wife will get a black stamp in her passport.

But on INIS website, the whole idea of the accompany wife visa seems very possible.

Any suggestions?

Can anyone offer step by step on how they got an accompany spouse visa? What documents they used? Maybe it's just different or incorrect info for ukraine?

Maybe you should ignore the visa agency and go to web side of the irish consulate in kiev
http://www.irishconsulate.kiev.ua/en/visas

and start the online application by yourself.

Visa type is short stay (C). Reason for travel is family member of EU/EAA/Swiss cit. (spouse). Purpose of travel is exercising right of free movement.

Well apparently, we can't use type C now, because it can't be extended after 3 months. We need 6-9 months for me to work in order to get EEA family permit and return to uk. Now I must go alone, and she must get type D once I have appartment and job...

You apply for c type visa.

My wife got 1 month stamp then applied eu1.

Got 6 month visa after that.

@Pellegrinelli

You should trust INIS and the irish consulat and not a visa agency from the Ukraine if the theme is Ireland.
If you are not sure you could send a mail to the irish consulate in Kiev and ask your questions.
