My wife got in touch with her previous and current employer. None have had any contact with the Home Office regarding my wife's employment.

Does the Home Office ALWAYS contact the employer or do they sometimes just base their decision on the evidence provided?

@Aurora77, I called the Sheffield office, they said that if the Case ID was provided and the name was written it shouldnt be a problem for them to forward the information to the right department and that we didnt have to resend all the documents again - anyway better safe than sorry.

But i wanted to know if anyone knows if the employer of the EU national is always contacted?

Hi everyone, i'm new here but i have been following this forum for a while now and i find good informations here. Well, as per my case, i applied for a Residence Card as an Extended Family of a EU National (My Aunt) undergoing free movement rights in the UK. Application was submitted in early May, received a letter of acknowledgement and Biometric request in June, done that and received a in August letter asking for father's birth certificate, DNA test of my aunt and my mother, and some other questions. My main question is, can i still be granted the Residence Permit if i'm not able to meet up with the DNA test coz my mum is been sick for some years now and the doctor said she can't undergo the DNA Test but a report from the doctor would be provided why my Mother can't undergo the test, and my aunt also know about this medical issue and that's been the reason why my aunty has been helping me from when i was back home..... Please help as i need answers as to what to expect from the caseworker/H.O :(

Thanks

You got an answer in the other thread on this one. The Home Office absolutely will not accept that someone is unfit to do a DNA test. It involves putting something in your mouth for a second and then taking it out. If you can eat then you can do a DNA test. They are an expensive thing to do, nearly £400 but there is no way you can get out of it.

Not for me, Kristo. I've been told, now, guideline for COA letter is about 2-4 weeks after enrollment of biometrics. I would see to the end of this week. Let me know if either of you get it.

Also, did the UKVI or HO contact your EU national partner's employer? None of my wife's employers are aware of them contacting her employer.

For those who receive their payslips electronically from their employer, did you just print it out and send it with your application or you had it stamped/signed by the employer?

They should accept without signs or stamps but to be safe would recommend getting those stamped/signed!

I called HO about that, the said is acceptable without sign or stamp but to be on a safer side, i will advice you give to the employer to sign, as i did give to employer to sign
