When I received my approval letter, I called the register office straight away and they told me that my certificate is not with them yet, and they will call me when it arrives. 2 days later I got a call from them and book the date for ceremony, name of guests who will be coming with you at the ceremony and they send you the invitation letter which arrive within 2 days. Hey all, I've been watching this board for months as a non registered user and it's really been useful to help keep track of what's been going on with applications. I submitted my application with the NCS on the 2nd of April, but due to bank holidays, the HO only got it on the 7th so I'm also in the biometrics-requiring set of applicants. I got my approval over the weekend so I thought I'd register and share my timeline.

I was on holiday, friends checked post twice a week, the actual letter came at some point between 21/08 and 24/08 as they didn't check post inbetween. Giving these details just because I know some of us are counting days and hours from others' application dates to their approvals.

The approval letter gives you the address and the phone number of the citizenship ceremonies office with an advice to contact them within 21 days. In my case, there was a second letter, this time from the ceremonies office, probably delivered the same or next day, with an invitation to attend the ceremony on 16/09/2015.

Really pleased post-Biometrics applications are starting to filter through. Congrats to everyone who has been successful.

Looking at all the timelines, it seems I was the only person to pay via personal cheque, it would be typical if this held up the approval as they wanted to ensure I couldn't cancel it.

congrats! Curious if you are a stand alone app or married to BC? seems those married to BC are getting approved faster than standalone.

Though SLA is 6months for any naturalisation application, I was told by council that for children born in UK is is faster. In fact one of my friend who applied around the same time got the approval a month back. Call centre is not answering as it is not been 6 months.

I really don't want to be funny, please forgive me eternally if I sound like...
But there's a search on the forums that should be used and maybe you could find the answer rather than sit and wait worrying a lot about your situation, I really don't know if the children naturalization is dealt with the adults all toguether, but I might believe it is.
Now, there's people waiting for over 6 months, in you check other post you will find out...
April just started to get the approvals and you can see that if you go trough some of the pages in this post....
i'm just getting a little crazy because everytime I come and see that the April treat is bumped I think is some useful information, but nope, is just somebody asking a question when you could just start a new treat.....

2nd point: I went back about 10-15 pages on this thread to see any child naturalisation applications. Couldn't locate even one which is relevant. Hence my post on this thread

If HO are consistent and generally fair in processing applications, then based on the more recent approvals posted in this thread, you are on course to get a feedback. Again, it also depends on how straight forward your application appear to HO. Hang in there.
