ILR (LR) applicant's spouse currently on Tier 2 dependant

Post by T2dep » Sun Jan 04, 2015 8:49 pm

Hi

I am hoping to get my ILR (LR) soon. Planning for my spouse extension (current visa is Tier 2 dependant, entry in UK January 2014).

A. Does spouse have to switch as ILR dependant first and then complete 5 year? (this was in court, any decision is made yet?)

Or

B. Extension as Tier 2 dependant and complete 5 year period?

Also I heard that ILR category is finishing April 2018 but my spouse wold not have completed 5 year by then, Is this decision only for main applicants?

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you switch to ILR ( LR), you might aswell kiss good bye to Tier 2 for your wife.

Am I right that maintenance requirement was only for entry before 9 july 2012?

What documents are required for FLR M visa please.

Visa extension of dependant of settled spouse Ilr(Lr)

Post by T2dep » Mon Aug 24, 2015 11:35 pm

Hi

I am really grateful that this forum has helped us in the past.

I got Ilr(Lr) few months ago and my wife is on Tier 2 general dependat (post 2012 rule). I am confused of which visa, we should apply.
1.Home office website gives the idea to extend as tier 2 dependant. This forum suggests Flr(m)?
2. What documents required for extension?
3. Is LIUK required along with English B1?
4. Should it be paper application or online?

Thanks again and awaiting guidance.

Hi sushdmehta

Many thanks for your guidance.

Does this mean her time towards Ilr starts again?

Also is English B1 is for her, considering she don't have to pass test again for Ilr? Does test expire after some time?

Cheers

Depends on the test. However, see also New english language testing for partners.

Thanks Vinny, really appreciated.

We intend to apply as normal application (not premium), will it be a paper based or online.

What documents require and any additional documents (house contracts, utility bills) to make the application strong!

Cheers

Hi, thanks for all your help.

I have couple more questions.

The form says to send passport copy of sponsor ( shall I send it original as the form also says that original are required).

Also my new job (sponsor) is less than six months, shall I send a letter from new employer about my job.

Kind regards

Well unless your current earning is 18600, and your earning in the last 12 months is 18600, then you will have difficulty succeeding

2. Question 6.23 it was according to Islamic teachings. What should I write?

3. Page 38 question 7.12 my rented property is studio flat so shall I say 0 other rooms?

4. Page 63 question 13B, this is spouse first extension after entery clearance. Do we need to provide original marriage certificate?

5. Sponsor has new job with 5 wage slips and from previous job one payslip is missing (12th from last) but have more slips prior to that? Shall we send extra slips and attach a covering letter? (it is hard to get missing payslip because of previous job)
