There's also a theory that the process will speed up now that the summer passport rush is over. The thought is they move staff over to passports during this crunch time and it delays the naturalization process. I don't know if this is true but it's wishful thinking. :)

Could anyone please let me know whether any one got the approval letter from Home Office who applied in 2 nd week of April. We are going on a holiday in October and I am hoping my son could get a letter before Sept to apply for the British Passport. Another issue is his Indian passport expires on 23 rd Sept. So if he doesn't get a letter then I need to apply a new Indian Passport and followed by Schengen Visa.

Since the post bio-metric applicants are getting approval letters, should i not apply for Indian passport for my son ?. I have appointment tomorrow in Edinburgh. Please advise.

1) Will my daughter also have to take the biometric?
Answer: Infants dont get fingerprinted, but they do ask you to get the child's photograph taken at the PO.
2) Is there any way we can speedup the application?
Answer: Not really. MN1 applications are like AN applications. I suggest you follow the timelines posted on the relevant Topic in this forum at : http://www.immigrationboards.com/britis ... 81180.html

Yeah I agree!

My husband applied there mid June but we knew Roaie from last year as we went to her just before we went to Sheffield to get ILR and Rosie checked our documents and we took as she prepared it. So we went back to her for naturalisation too.
