Work / Student permit in South Africa

I represent a newly released US-based magazine and my company is considering sending me to South Africa to start an office there. At present I'm in Nigeria. (I'm Nigerian too). I'll like to know if I'll need a work permit and how to go about getting one.

Also I'm seriously considering going to do a Master's degree in SA. I'll like to know if I can combine both projects - ie opening and running a new office for my company and doing the degree.

Thirdly I want to know whether I'll be permitted to begin the office AFTER arriving in SA on a student's visa.
