Eligibility criteria: wife of UK citizen
Language criteria met: B1 test
Current nationality: Russian
Method of application (NCS/Postal/Solicitor etc): NCS
Council name if NCS used: Hackney
Date of application: 18 of May 2015, 18.05.2015
Payment method: DC
Date of receipt by UKBA: 19 May 2015, 19.05.2015
Date of debit or clearance of fees: 08.06.2015 (just checked my online banking)
Date of acknowledgment: 06.06.2015
Date of receipt by Biometric info: 08.06.2015 (both letters acknowledgement and bio received on 11.06.2015)
Date of Submission of Biometric info: 11.06.2015
Date approval received: waiting
Date of ceremony: waiting

what are post BIO approvals?
i submitted my Bio data on 2nd june and never received any confirmation other than what the post office gave me that they have been sent.

I have applied through post for myself and my wife, it has been 3 months now and still waiting. Just wondering does anyone know if i need to travel on emergency, can i just request for my passport and ILR card? With this the application processing will not be affected.

When did you apply? If you applied after April 6, biometrics is a requirement.

Hey,

I were you, I would be chasing them up to send me invitation for bio-metrics. Letters can get lost in the post for bio-metric invitations. I had to ask them to send it again. Bio-metrics is a must now.

I did not use the NCS but made and individuals application by myself and I spoke to students finance England they said without proof I'D they cannot give funding and so I might have defer until next year because without Identification won't be able completely my enrollment .
P.S does anyone know if university will accept a copy of my id

Wish you all the best. This is why NCS is most recommended option. They charge you about £50 but you have free hold on your documents.

I applied for british citizenship along with my minor son, on 6th May,2015 through nationality checking service.So far I ahve not recieved any communication from home office except application money being debited from my account on 8th june.

I called home office and the nationality checking service helplines but both said since its less than 6 month, I sholuld just wait. Can anyone please send me the relevant contact or emails that i can contact.

The main issue now is that I signed a guarantor for someone and he left without paying his rent and I didn't know. Since I had moved hhouse the lettings agency couldn't get in touch with me and hence took the issue to court and he as well as me being gurantor got slammed with a ccj. I went in June to get a credit card and was denied and then that was how I found out I had a ccj against my name. I have satisfied it and written to the home office explaining that it wasn't my fault.
But my people u know the way it is. I am worried sick if this might affect me as I didn't put it in my initial application and I didn't cos I didn't know it was existing at the time. Thanks. Any advice will be appreciated.

Applied for Naturalization on 22 June under 3+1 category,
followed by finger print submission in mid july as per the letter sent by AN Team.

Want to travel urgently, called AN help line team on 03001232253 and they suggested me to request for returning of documents online. As per their advice I did request it online on 5th Aug, 2015. No response for that from AN team.

I called AN help line team again on 03001232253 and they suggested me to make further request and I did that on 18th Aug, 2015. So far, no response and I want to travel urgently. Please could anyone suggest me the way to contact AN team.

It's quite unfortunate, but I was looking for probable outcomes or further steps to take if any. I dont see why I should be punished for what someone else did. Furthermore based on the fact that naturalisation decisions can't be appealed cos if I could appeal, I won't really be worried as it will be clear it's not my fault. I am trying to remain positive thou.
