English language requirement for ILR- Main and dependant

Post by aph123 » Mon Aug 31, 2015 6:36 pm

Hi,

I have Tier-1 General granted on Feb-2011 and my spouse came to UK as my dependent on Sep-2011.

We both are eligible for ILR in Jan 2016.

When I was given Tier-1 general my qualification was in the PBS list and was given 30 points based on that.

For ILR, is it enough for both of us to take 'Life in the UK' test or should we both have to take any english test to qualify? If yes, what is that test?

A LITUK test is not a proof of English test.

For proof of English for settlement see:

ILR- Main and dependent application at same time

Post by aph123 » Mon Sep 21, 2015 10:15 pm

Hi,

I have Tier-1 General granted on Feb-2011 and my spouse came to UK as my dependent on Sep-2011.

Can you please confirm that we both can apply for ILR in Jan 2016 at the same time?

Hi Vinny,

My spouse meets 319E including (d) & (g) but I am confused on c(ii) as my spouse was granted visa on Sep 2011. Please advise.

(ii) is, at the same time bein
g granted indefinite leave to remain as a Relevant
Points Based System Migrant, or

319E(c)(ii) just confirms that she may apply for ILR at the same time as you, provided the other requirements in 319E are met. i.e., you may include her in your SET(O) application.
