Hi

I think it's a good idea to start the petition on change.org. The amount of fees they are charging turn around time is too long for these types of applications and they should improve service standards. Others please comment if you have other ideas.

Thanks

Hi i got a letter for my son MN1 Section 3(1) yesterday, but they have refused and said he is not settled in the UK, he need to get ILR first, currently he has visa of dependent tier 1 general till April 16,also they have included NR form with someone else ID case page attached ,for apply to reviewing the case and pay £80 for it. and i have not received mine and wife nationality approval letters up till now.
my son came in uk at the age of 5 months and now he is 8 years.parents have the settled visa and the future of the minor is in uk, if one of the parent is BC or applying for BC then they can apply under 3(1) according to this rule i had done and skip ILR to avoid the fee. I need your advice me please what should i have to do now. many thanks
Are both of the parents BC or is one of them BC and other settled?

Cna i ask you that "is it your son not born in UK?",is this the main reason why he get refused?

Hi Everyone,

I wrote a letter to my MP to contact home office regarding MN1 applications as such simple process taking six months and the amount of fees they are charging is unbelieveable. I also requested to expedite my sons application because I have to travel back home to celebrate eid with my family. I hope I get a response soon, others could request their MP's to get update or progress of your applications or complain about the process.

Good luck everyone

Ali

Congratulations

I received my daughter approval letter last friday and now waiting for the certificate. I have an emergency and have to go to India this weekend for 3 weeks. My wife and myself are on ILR and my daughter is still on my HSMP which is valid till January 2016. Can I travel with my baby's indian passport and HSMP visa dependant status? And also is there any time scale for the certificate after the approval letter? Once I get the certificate with in how many days I need to apply for passport?

Sorry for many questions and Thanks in advance

My daughter's Application Timeline, both of us have ILR and she was born in UK

Method of application: Nationality Checking Service (Edinburgh Council) 22/05/2015
Date of receipt by UKBA:
Biometric Letter date : 02/06/2015
Date biometrics enrolled: 17/06/2015

Date of receipt of acknowledgement: Awaiting
Date of receipt of approval: Awaiting
Date of receipt of documents: Awaiting
Date of receipt of registration certificate: Awaiting

Is there anyway I can track? I called UK VIsas & immigration and they mentioned that there is no way we can track?
Can someone also suggest how to request is it safe to book Fast track passport appointment for October (refer to above timeline)?
we have holidays booked mid November, hope we get her passport soon.

What are timeline for Normal Passport?

Many Thanks
