If HO won't play ball it appears all you can do is contact test centres & see what ID they require, as you seem to be doing.entoct2012 wrote:Many views and no reply or comment. pls share your experience or suggestions
May be worth following up on further. You can also prove your knowledge of English by having:
an ESOL qualification at Entry 3 or higher (eg Level 1 or 2) on the Ofqual register taken in England, Wales or Northern Ireland - qualifications at Entry 1 or 2 won’t be accepted
...
From November 2015, you won’t be able to use ESOL qualifications as proof for settlement and citizenship applications.
@noajthan OP cant give any other exams. Esol is valid until November 2015 if passed before 6th April 2015.noajthan wrote:If HO won't play ball it appears all you can do is contact test centres & see what ID they require, as you seem to be doing.entoct2012 wrote:Many views and no reply or comment. pls share your experience or suggestions
Alternately it appears ESOL B1 (if on Ofqual website - so not just from Trinity) is accepted even for settlement until November.

From 6th april 2015 only Ielts and Trinity r the acceptable Language test provider. If both of them r not accepting any other form of ID except passport than u can't do anything. Request HO to send back your passport so u can appear in the test.
I'm in the same boat and don't know what is the solution. Please let me know what you did? Thanksentoct2012 wrote:Hello Friends,
