appostille on marriage certificate?

Post by Pellegrinelli » Thu Sep 03, 2015 10:35 am

Hi

We are planning to go to Ireland with UK visa.

When we present our marriage certificate at the border, does it have to have an appostille? We just found out about this a few days before leaving and now don't have time to make it.
Will they simply accept us with notarised translation?

P. S. Certificate has stamp from ministry of Justiceof Ukraine.

Normally the ministry of Justice of the Ukraine give this apostille.
Are you sure this stamp is not a apostille.

I'm pretty sure it's not appostile. But we now have no time to get it...so we will try our luck and go with our UK visa and notarized translation...and we will see what happens.

Really don't like the system in ukraine. Nobody tells us anything untill last minute, and they have messed us around by giving us incorrect info many times before

The stamp from the ministry is at least some sort of legalisation.
