Tier 2 General - Dependant Visa, English requirement?

Hi

I am in the UK on a tier 2 General visa. I am trying to apply for a visa for my wife so she can join me as a dependant. Does Tier 2 General - Partner refer to the dependant visa I should apply for.

Is there an English Language requirement for dependants of Tier 2 visas. I can't seem to find any clear indication of it on the official website. The only thing I've found which suggests that IELTS 4.0 is required is this page on the IELTS website.

It says, Tier 2 General - most cases - Level B1 required. I am wondering whether Tier 2 General - Partner falls under most cases.

If there is no English language requirement, are you able to point me to some official page/document that states as such.

Yes, I have had a look through the links and read what I think is relevant to my application. But I'd like to have confirmation in case there is something I have missed. I hope this is not too much to ask of a forum

You are asking for a link that has already been provided to you!
If the policy guidance and the immigration rules do dictate something, it means it is "required". Else, not!!

e.g. - the response from Deepam is incorrect. Would you want to believe something that someone asserts without evidence, or would you believe something that the official policy guidance and specified immigration rules dictate - that you claim to have read??

Is it (945+650) or just (650)

Hi

I understand that I would need to show maintenance requirements for a period of 3 months with the last date being no earlier than 1 month ago.
From when is this "no earlier than 1 month ago" counted, is it the date I submit (pay) the application online, or the date that I would be handing in the documents.

Also,
How much time do they allow between submitting the application online and handing in documents. Would it be possible to submit the application on the 1st of December and hand in documents on 1st of January.
