Just curious to see if there is anyone who applied on 5 years (Tier1) + 1 yr ILR.... and still waiting for approval?

I applied on 31st March and still waiting.....no news whatsoever from them

hey march applicants I received a letter from HO they requested more documents to prove some things they want proof of residence from 0-3 years of age but I didn't attend any school at that age and back then my gp had no computers , I have emailed and sent a letter explaining that for me to get these documents will be longer then the window they have given to get back to them , my questions I would like to ask is

1. I sent the letter explaining by recorded delivery it reached them on Tuesday 1st of September they said to reply by 15th of September or it will result in refusal but come Friday the 3rd I still have had no reply is there a number I can call that can help me that can maybe make my letters and enquires noted it would be such a bummer to be rejected now over something so StupId after this intense 6 month wait?? it will take very long for me to get these documents does anybody have any ideas of documents I Should be looking for also???.

2. someone has signed my letter with there name on the bottom , why case workers dont give direct details is out of this universe and has anybody else been asked for other documents and needed more time if so what did you do /what was the process was everything ok who did you contact emails/ adresses/ etc .

Try to get any records of that time. Ask ur GP that if they are keeping any paper records of that time. Secondly check any records of benefits receiving or any hospital visit records etc. U did a job good by writing a letter to them. I hope you have explained them all the reasons. They should write to you if they need any other information.


HO asked me some documents late August to prove my residency in the specific period as my passport was lost so I send them all others documents like bills, bank statements etc, which they received on 25th aug and still no reply.

Actually I'm a New Ham council resident and I used the Redbridge council's Nationality Checking Service (NCS) for my application, I just want to know will HO send my nationality certificate (in case of approval) to the Redbridge council where I used the NCS or to my council (New Ham) where I'm resident....I tried to ask this question to Redbridge council but unfortunately they didn't satisfy me......again I'll appreciate your reply to let me know!!!!thanks in advance

Abuzaid I also applied through different council for my naturalisation. So they will send the certificate to your own council New Ham unless you stated in form about other council where they asked in form if you want your ceremony at other council. I left this part blank as I wanted ceremony at my own council therefore they sent certificate to my own council. Thanks .

I know a friend who used Gloucester council for his NCS but had his ceremony at Reading council. This was a good 3 years before.

is that on "AN Form", I don't remember whether I opted the other council option or not. I assume if it is AN form then probably I didn't opt it and left it blank....this means in that case my certificate will be sent out to my own council i.e Newham not where I used the NCS (Redbridge)....

If your application is approved ,you will need to take part in a citizenship ceremony. The venue will normally be within a local authority area near where you live . If you want to have your ceremony in another area you should give us details of the local authority location below.

Loda a Questions honestly, Basic though from where you live what you do . DOB of Father monther, How you got to here , how does your area look like. Shops names, Jobs etc. Immigration history, Question regarding signatoury , How far is lahore from Islambad lol. Etc etc

Yes They even asked me how long it takes ina car to travel from lahore to islamabad.

Car reg no. How did i buy it. i.e cash or finance.

The intresting thing is towards the end of it, I asked her if it was a passport test ? or just an identification check to that she replied." The only reason for us to conduct interview is to ensure we are issueing it to correct person and aboviously for the purpose of stopping identity theft.


Hence they cant refuse you a passport regardless of how bad interview you did. I personaly think they should just have a finger print mechine in place and check it that way.

but hy ho. They have a budget of 2 million pound per year and till date since this department was born they have not caught anyone !!!! as they say its impossible to reach that point!
