FInally got my daughter certificate and here are the details

Application submitted: April 01, 2015 MN1 section 1(3) via post
Received by Home Office: April 04, 2015
Fee taken: April 29, 2015
Biometrics: NA
Certificate: 01/09/2015 with the date 26/08/2015

I have an emergency and have to go to India this weekend for 3 weeks. My wife and myself are on ILR and my daughter is still on my HSMP which is valid till January 2016. Can I travel with my baby's indian passport and HSMP visa dependant status? Once I get the certificate with in how many days I need to apply for passport?

I don't really have time to wait three to six weeks for my child's first passport

Congratulations to everyone who received their certificates this week. It has been a nerve wracking wait, but it's here now and i can breathe as our holiday is in two weeks' time. Thank you for everybody's updates and comments and good luck to those who are still waiting, I hope it will be quicker this time.

Hi Dilip, congratulations!
You can now apply for passport. If you want the fast track application, you have to call the number on the website and they will book it for you. 87gbp

Hi Puneet

You cannot book fast track passport appointment later than 4 weeks it's not busy you can get appointment for next day as well. Normal passport application takes 4 to 6 weeks. Fast track is one week and cost £87.

Good luck

I have applied for passport via post(first class large letter approx £1.50) on 26/08/2015 and I got confirmation text about passport dispatched on 01/09/2015 so expecting to be delivered on 03/09/2015(will confirm tomorrow).
So Postal application time line is 1 week maximum. One of my friend also received his baby passport with in one week(postal application). But they say it may take upto 2 to 3 weeks (this is mainly due to customer satisfactory reasons)
To me it's not about cost but it's about comfort(fill on-line application/ got to post office to get an application and fill it .. post it)... don't have to take day off from work and don't have to wait for slot to submit in-person application.
So guys you decide which is the best option based on your circumstances..
Note : Times(Passport appliation approval ) may vary depends on the correct supporting evidence presented. They might call you for more supporting documents if any missing.

Hi Amber and other Senior Members,

I am on ILR (10yrs) switched from Tier1 General, i have got two children both born in uk , my son born after my 2nd extension of tier1, so my wife and daughter are on tier 1 general until may 2016 and i did not update my son status hes now 2 yrs. On 12th july'15 i applied MN1 for my both children through NCS both applications in one bundle and HO received it next day i confirmed. After one week i received an email about my daughter with the case ID but they didn't mention about my son. Another thing they didn't deduct the fees until today its been more than 7 weeks now. I called HO and they said don't worry you will get soon, i argue that both application were in one bundle and received in same time she replied that we split the family applications ..Bit confusing.....

i have few Qs.
1. Is there any issue that i didn't update my son status before MN1?
2. why they didn't deduct the fees is there any things they are waiting for..?

or if you can give more details will be very thankful to you coz its taking long i have to apply FLRM for my wife as well thanks in advance.

Hi Kunal,

can you please confirm how did you submitted your application via NCS or by post?

i submitted my kids applicaiton through ncs on 22nd april and still heard nothing.

i am about to go for holiday in 2nd week of october so hope i get my kids paperwork before that.

This is so annoying that it is taking ages for a very simple type of an application :x :x  :?:

I wrote a letter to my MP to contact home office regarding MN1 applications as such simple process taking six months and the amount of fees they are charging is unbelieveable. I also requested to expedite my sons application because I have to travel back home to celebrate eid with my family. I hope I get a response soon, others could request their MP's to get update or progress of your applications or complain about the process.

Good luck everyone

HI Allesheikh,

Any luck from your MP ? I called but got a standard answer of 6 months.
or did you get any other reply from home office.

I see there are couple of cases who gave their biometrics in May 1st week got their certificate of approval.

Greetings fellow forum friends,
I submitted my son's application on Form T which is similar to MN1 on 2nd April. It was acknowwledged a few weeks later. I requested my son's docs coz i wanted to travel and they were returned within 10 days in early July. I can't seem to find a thread for Form T people like myself and it is getting quite frustrating. Any Form T applicants out there???

Congrats Alle. BTW I dont think it has anything to do with your document return request. As if u see some posts here people who applied in may (21/05/2015) also got their approvals. That is only my opinion.

Your stress and waiting time is over. I am still in the waiting list. will get response soon i believe.

Fingers crossed
