10 yrs Private life route

Post by AGWW2015 » Sat Sep 05, 2015 7:24 pm

Hello all,

Very impressed with all the answers in here and I hope someone can help me on my issue.

I came to England in 2005 march, that time I was 16 years old.

I was married with an EEA and got 5 years resident card, but just one year before 5 years visa expire, we got divorce. When I tried to apply for PR, I got rejected because I could able to provide that he was exercising treaty rights in UK the time when we divorce.

I was wondering if I have rights to apply 10yrs private life route base on:

-you were under 18 and you’d lived in the UK continuously for at least 7 years, and it would’ve been unreasonable to expect you to live in a different country

I was 16 years old when I came here and I have now leave in the uk more than 10 years.

Because of my PR application base on family member of EEA was refused, from my understanding I am not able to apply for 10 years long residence

Please can anyone help me on this.

Many thanks

Where is the lady you were married to?

Is she still in the UK?

Thank you so much for your help.

He is from Portugal, he is no longer in Uk.

Also he wasn't here when we divorce.

He was working uk and he lost his job and was trying to find another job, he left at 2011 and my visa was expired at 2014.

Is that matter to 10 years private life route?

When did you married and when did you initiate the divorce?

Was he in the UK when the divorce proceedings started?

We married in UK at 2008.

Initiate the divorce at 2012 December and the marriage was formally ended at August 2013

Do you think am I able to apply FLR(FP) base on 10 years private life ?

Thank you again.
