Can i Join business as a Tier 1 Entrepreneur ?

Hi All,

I am a former PSW holder and now TIER 2 General visa. Now My company made me redundant and didn't received any curtailment letter yet. I have a 50K funds but would like to join existing business. Is it possible ?
if yes then on what conditions ?

Many Thanks. I checked the Guidelines in which former PSW holder can show 50K funds. I am Confused. 200k for Tier 2 Immigrants whom are not Former PSW holders. Yes, I can't use my own Money i have to go through Seed Funding.

Hi Nomi-UK,


You CANNOT use the requirements for former PSW holders, because your last visa category is technically the Tier 2 visa.

Therefore, you have to show £200k, whether you are starting up a new business, joining existing business or you are partnering with someone who is a former PSW Holder.

Except you are obtaining your investment fund from a Venture Capital Firm that has the appropriate requirements, then you can use £50k.
