Hi to the August group again.

Have just spoken to the HO, wasn't too bad (they were polite and quick to answer) but not very helpful either.

They advised me to email nweurocoarequests. When I said I already had, they told me they must be sorting it out now then and that I should just wait a bit more.

Currently, it is 20 working days (not 15!)

Well, looks like the best way to get in touch about CoA is that email address. I will wait till Wednesday and email again if I don't hear/receive anything.

[quote="DannyG15"]Hi Chalky cheese, could you please let me know if I'm correct on requesting my passport back from the HO from their passports section of the HO website? We applied for our RC in July.

Thanks!

Hi Danny,

Yeah it's completely fine asking for your passport back. They didn't say that I couldn't or that it would affect my application or anything. Getting them back is another thing though. I am now on my way down to London to visit the Australian embassy. The home office finally reported to us that they had officially lost our passports. Of course they left it way too late for us to be able to do anything. We were supposed to fly to Australia yesterday.I think everyone should take note of that. The home office are ridiculous and they don't take care of our things so be prepared for anything you send to just disappear. But anyway I'm trying to stop being incredibly angry at them, though that might change if the Australian embassy refuse to issue me a passport because I now have no proof that I am australian.

But anyway yes Danny, you should be fine. But just make sure you keep at them if the passports don't arrive in 10 days. They said they had posted our the day after I applied for them so had they not lost them they would have been with me in 3-4 working days.

why do you think printing will take 1 month...? the process is already slower, because it takes time to enroll biometrics and receive COA after 15-20 days... so I think printing of the card itself should take a week or couple of weeks max... this is my guess..

Just a quick update.

I called the 0300 number and they were actually quite nice. They believed there was a clerical error on their part. I was advised to email both the COA and the biometric teams, which I did this morning. They told me to not refile my biometrics as they should already have it and it would slow down the process. He also assured me that this would have no impact on the timeframe of my Residency Card.

Now—need to convince my employer that all is OK.

What a pain. 5 full weeks!

Hi, everyone! I am new to this website, but I am also going through the same process as all of you, so I want to share my experience. This is my timeline:

14/07/2015 Application sent
18/07/2015 Application received by HO
23/07/2015 Biometrics letter (Dated: 21/08/2015)
25/07/2015 Biometrics enrolled
COA: Pending
RC: Pending

Applied as a spouse/EEA FM

please advice if it's normal that my COA is still pending? It's been over 6 weeks now...

Coz 2 weeks ago I have been told by lady on the helpline, she said there is a delay overall timeline because of lack of staff and new cards.
They even cant send COA to new people, I even got my COA after 1 month. all those new stuff prolongs the timeline.
It is annoying as hell.
Only 1 april applicant got his RC so far and he was b4 6th april applicant, so we have no chance to make comparison yet.

Hi, I have a question. I just sent my application for an EEA (FM) as spouse. I sent my passport (original). So, when I have to go to the post office to take my biometric information I have to show any ID? I only have a expired passport and a driving license from Venezuela. Any suggestions? Thanks, RM

Mard2530 I'm from Venezuela too. You just need the acknowledge letter for the biometrics and the payment card. That's it!
