aplied my son's mn1 by ncs sheffield on 30 march 2015 still waiting for the certificate, contacted home office replied to 6 months waiting time. Shame a minor's application take such long.
Really frustrating as my son's mn1 approval has not come yet. Home office don't maintain application first come basis. As i can see some applicants got approval altough applied later in april. Seem HO runs differently than rest of the country.

Hi congratulations your application has been answered in 3 months time i see which means HO is speeding up the process now. Just wanted to ask a few things. What was your situation like when you applied for mn1 for whom and how old? Did you or your partner had ILR or just one of you? Please it would be great if you let me know your case. Thankss

Hi All,
I have applied for my 2 kids (daughter & son) application 1(3) on 4th August 2015, today I have received all my documents returned and its says application still pending and they referring to only 1 application (My daughters) there is no letter for my son.

Do I need to worry about ? should I contact them that I didn't request any documents to return?

Can you please give advice?

regards

Wow, unusual situation because they normally return documents with a letter of approval/refusal BUT your caseworker may do things a little differently. Am wondering, did they send you a letter of acknowledgment listing the applications you made and the documents you submitted? If yes, then there is no need to contact them for anything. If they have no letter in your record requesting your documents back then worry not. They will approve your applications in due course.

Home office are funny people, they received my baby's application end of June, acknowledged it but no biometric invitation letter. So am not expecting a letter of approval, but a letter of biometrics which they will send me whenever they feel like.....and then make me wait for the approval.

Congratulations. Your caseworker was a dedicated person who did their job well. I mean, some folks who applied in March/early April are still waiting. I think it also depends on the case worker who handles your application. Mine hasn't even bothered to request for biometrics since end of June.

Hi usbukhari,

You should send them a letter and ask them for second applicant. I will suggest everyone waiting from long to email their MP's to expedite your applications HO might wake up then.

I am still waiting for certificate I hope I get that tomorrow. I have already bought tickets for Pak for week after and I have to apply my son passport as well. Booked fast track appointment for tomorrow initially but changed to Wednesday. Finger crossed please anyone can update after approval how long it takes for certificate to arrive and is it normal 2nd class post definitely or through DX Delivery. Please update guys

Thanks

I see no reason for you to contact them since they have acknowledged your applications and because your application is new, you will not get anywhere contacting them. I suggest you wait for your approvals now. They have obviously taken copies of your documents and will not need to look at them again. Just sit back and wait for your certificates. However, if you feel that you need to contact them for reasons you have not stated here, please do but if your concern is the returned documents, i think its wonderful that they returned them to you so soon.

Righty and Ali thanks for your response

I'll wait and see as my application was made in August.

I can see that April/May applications getting response in august/September

june/july will get response in September/October

august will be getting in October/November

so I have to wait for 2-3 months now

hope for the best everyone

Hi
My kid is 7 years old , born in UK, i am EU citizen, (they get copy of my pasport, my indefinite residence card, mariage certificat and kids UK birth certificate).

One parent have to be permanent resident, irrelevant and waist of time to prove other one status.

Bare in mind that for kids 10 and over they undergo full character check.

Every case is different, especialy when kid is 10 or older they need to go good character part (to get info from police database it take between 3-4 months, metropolitan have huge backlog as whoever need to get CRB check to work as a taxi driver or child care or social care need to obtain that when process application and after that whenever need to refresh licence).
And holiday time is especialy bussy for HO, i recon they speed a little bit now when school year start.

Can you please update what is the issue date on your certificate and postage stamp date. I'm just trying to figure out when I'll be receiving mine. I've got approval letter on the 5th September dated 3rd September.
